We are an established taxi company operating from our base in Barrasford for the last 10 years, near Hexham, servicing areas across Northumberland, catering for a wide range of people's needs. We carry out a number of services starting from your everyday transport, whether it be local runs to schools, day trips to Hadrian's Wall, or other attractions in the Northumberland area. We also carry out trips to Newcastle International Airport or Train Station transfers, in rural areas for example Slaley Hall, Matfen Hall or any other hotel or tourist attraction.
If you have places to explore in the Hexham or Hadrian’s Wall area, or a one off trip to a local transport link (Newcastle Airport) A2B taxis is ideal for you. We also have a number of regular customers who we take to schools in the Tynedale area on a daily basis. Also being privately hired by Northumberland County Council for school transport, we have a large amount of experience in dealing with students, as well as transporting students with carers to special needs schools.
One of the key benefits you get from A2B Taxis is the use of a 4x4 Land Rover, which can be used in times of bad weather. It also comes in handy for walkers travelling along Harridan's wall to places including, House steads, Steal Rigg, Vindolanda or Sycamore Gap. All taxi fares are regulated and controlled by Northumberland County Council (formerly Tynedale Council). All of our cars have taximeters in them which are calibrated to Tynedale rates and regularly checked to ensure consistent operation.Unless agreed at the time of booking, all journeys undertaken will be charged according to the amount shown on the taximeter.
